The roots of Parker / Mudgett / Smith Architects, Inc. developed in 1952 when former principal Bolton McBryde opened an office in downtown Fort Myers. Wiley Parker joined this firm in 1962 and became a principal in 1965, when the present corporation was formed. Bill Mudgett was hired in 1968 and became a principal in 1973. Roger Smith joined the firm in 1972 and became a principal in 1987. Jeff Mudgett joined the firm in 1992 and became a principal in 2001. Our longevity and success as a firm has resulted from a combination of traditional architectural expertise with an in-depth knowledge of this area’s construction industry. Three of our partners - Wiley Parker, Bill Mudgett and Jeff Mudgett, are registered architects with over 100 years of combined experience in the community, while Partner Roger Smith and John Hendry started their careers in the construction business, and were certified general contractors before joining the firm. Sean Gilmore has over 17 years of experience. Patrick Hartig is an experienced Project Manager with 21 years of experience, 5 of those years here at Parker/Mudgett/Smith Architects, Inc. Michele Gouley is a registered architect with 10 years of experience in architecture. Both Patrick Hartig and Michele Gouley are LEED Accredited Professionals providing the office with the knowledge to facilitate sustainable ‘green’ architecture design and certification through the U.S. Green Building Council. Elisa Vadney is the Office Manager / Administrative Assistant. This particular combination of experience has served our clients well, in every aspect of the building process from conception to master plan to construction, and decades after. |
